Description

EFNB3, also known as ephrin-B3, a member of the ephrin gene family, is important in brain development as well as in its maintenance. It binds promiscuously Eph receptors residing on adjacent cells, leading to contact-dependent bidirectional signaling into neighboring cells. The signaling pathway downstream of the receptor is referred to as forward signaling while the signaling pathway downstream of the ephrin ligand is referred to as reverse signaling. Binds to, and induce the collapse of, commissural axons/growth cones in vitro. Recombinant human EFNB3 protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli
